Zinc

Zinc is a lustrous bluish-white metal which tarnishes in air. It is brittle and crystalline at room temperatures but become ductile and malleable when heated to certain temperature. Zinc metal has high heat capacity and conductivity. The zinc ore which is found as zinc carbonate (ZnCO3) is a crystalline crust that has a vitreous luster and gray in colour. Our zinc mineral is found in Bauchi state and parts of Plateau state and it has been used for many metal products, rubber and medicines.
